Next up for us is the extremely-long named “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Scourge of Divine Beast Vah Medoh” by USAopoly. Yeah, I didn’t even try to fit all of that in the title of this post.
This was a Father’s Day gift to me. Jenny and I are both Legend of Zelda fans and I managed to rope the kid into it, too, with her having recently finished a playthrough of the remake of Link’s Awakening, so it’ll probably be a fun family project.
As would be expected from officially-licensed BotW merch, the artwork is gorgeous. My assumption is that, after the borders, work will focus on Link, Vah Medoh, and Windblight Ganon, which will fill in most of the puzzle.
The puzzle is slightly panoramic compared to some of our recent efforts, at 26 inches wide but only 14 inches tall. I wonder if we’ll end up stepping on each others toes at all because of that.
I’m also curious about it being a 750-piece design. We usually do 1000- or 500-piece puzzles so splitting the difference will be a new experience. The pieces look to be about the size of most of the 1000-pieces puzzles that we do. The math for that checks out, though, as it’s about 75% of the height of our usual 1000-piece puzzles and 75% of the piece count.
I’ve seen reviews where people say they ended up missing pieces so that’s a concern. We’ll see how it goes.
This is our first puzzle from USAopoly so I’m also curious to see how the quality holds up.
