A few months ago, Clark asked me for an SVG logo for my side project, Patternography, and told me that I couldn’t ask why. I eventually forgot about it, and for Valentine’s Day, a custom puzzle of my logo with some of the code that makes it run as the background from Collage.com was my gift from Clark! I am a hobby-ish sewist and keeping track of all the patterns I own is cumbersome, so I created Patternography in an attempt to put the back of the pattern envelope in your pocket. I officially launched right as the country shut down from COVID, and I have been trying to work on a big new feature through out the year, it’s almost ready, though it won’t be ready to launch in time for the wrap up post on this!
Since this is our second puzzle from collage.com, we already know a lot more of what to expect. We know that the pieces will be symmetrically cut, and loosely fit, so we’ll need to be cautious that we don’t accidentally switch pieces around and make things harder on ourselves. Perhaps Clark should start with the border, and I’ll start with the large lavender circle — fewer places for me to switch around pieces!
This puzzle is 20″x20″ finished, and is 676 pieces, which should mean it’s a little faster, but I’m looking forward to it all the same. This one has a lot of meaning to me, as it is a gift, and involves my biggest side project I’ve done to date.
Happy Puzzling!
