Up next for us is a surprise new puzzle from So Puzzled Puzzle Company: 2 Dandelions Bookshop!
Wait a second. That sounds familiar…
As we noted in our most recent wrap-up post, our 500-piece puzzle celebrating 2 Dandelions Bookshop ended up being a 1000-piece puzzle due to a production error. That’s all been sorted out and now we’re back with an actual 500-piece puzzle.
We’re in the somewhat-unique position of having already done this as a 1000-piece puzzle so we think we know what to expect. The clouds and the books in the bookstore windows will likely be the hardest parts. They weren’t that bad in the 1000-piece version – just noticeable – so we don’t expect them to be too difficult this time around.
I’m really curious to see how much more quickly we can do the 500-piece version. When we followed up the 1000-piece version of Smitten in the Mitten with the 500-piece version, it was much faster from start to finish and I called out how much easier it felt. But while the 500-piece version of Oh MI Cookies! was faster than the 1000-piece version, we still noticed some more difficult spots. It had also been a much longer time for us between the two versions of Oh MI Cookies! so that might have played into it.
Maybe I’m jinxing us, but I really think we’ll be able to get through it pretty quickly. We’ll see how it goes.
