Puzzle season is upon us and we took advantage of a chilly weekend with the kid out of the house to work through the 1000-piece “I Love Music” by White Mountain Puzzles. We picked this one up awhile ago and it sat in our stash waiting for a time like this.
We started relatively late on Saturday night and made good progress around the edges right off the bat.

From there it came together really quickly. It’s a White Mountain collage-style puzzle, so we expected that and knew what we were getting into from the start. Early afternoon on Sunday we wrapped it up.

One thing that kind of threw me off was the fact that the same Louis Armstrong poster was also used in “Talkin’ All That Jazz” by Apostrophe Puzzles, which we did back in 2021. It led to just a touch of cognitive dissonance for me, where I was looking for other similarities between the two.
As I mentioned, we knew what we were getting into with this. White Mountain is a “known” for us. There were a couple pieces that were splitting apart, which was disappointing to see, but overall it’s a relatively solid product. The collage style is their calling card and we’re down for that.
We’re probably looking at late November to get to our next puzzle since we’ll be busy selling them rather than assembling them as the holiday season picks up.
