Next up for us is a puzzle of the cover of Nirvana’s “Nevermind” album, courtesy of Zee Productions’ Rock Saws line.

Jenny got this one for me last Christmas and we just haven’t gotten to it until now. There is a 500-piece version (most of the Rock Saws puzzles are 500 pieces) but this is the newer 1000-piece variant.
I get the feeling that this will drive us nuts. There is a lot of water in that image and I can see it being really difficult to get a handle on which pieces go where short of brute forcing it.
Aside from that, I have no expectations about this puzzle. This is one of the most iconic album covers of all time. Whether or not it makes for a good puzzle is kind of irrelevant. I hope it ends up being fun, of course, but it was never intended to be a puzzle so it’s not like we can be disappointed if it doesn’t work out.
Note: We use the images from this blog in our social media feeds so we’ve applied (and will probably continue to apply) a bit of a blur when necessary so no overzealous algorithms decide we’re violating anyone’s terms of service. Better to be safe than sorry.
