It’s been quiet for a bit here but not because we haven’t had things going on. We figured it was time to give an update, though.
We were exhausted after last summer’s Destination Stars Hollow event in Brighton, MI, for which So Puzzled Puzzle Company launched the “Destination Stars Hollow” jigsaw puzzle. Production of that puzzle and the event itself was a lot.
But there was no rest for the weary as SPPC rolled right into a private event for which we needed to have completed copies of three of our puzzles: Oh MI Cookies!, Natural Michigan, and Tahquamenon Falls Mural. We didn’t have those just sitting around (more specifically, the ones we do have we mod-podged and we needed versions that weren’t) so it was a three-puzzle marathon to get those together for that event.
And then it was right into the holiday season for the company. It’s always great to get out talking to other puzzlers but we had shows nearly every week for the last two months of the year, which really took a bite out of prime puzzling season.
We finally got a break when the holiday season was over and were in no place to think about puzzles for a little bit.
Shortly after the holidays, our daughter broke out “Timeless Turquoise” from Springbok. She promptly gave up on it, having gotten just far enough in for it to take over our table.
Jenny and I picked it back up but it was really hard to get into. It’s Springbok, so it’s a great quality puzzle, but the design just isn’t for us. It’s vaguely symmetrical with a repetitive pattern. The artwork is kind of blurry in general. It which just makes determining which piece goes where more difficult.

So we’ve DNF’d it.
We don’t know which one is next for us. Jenny picked up a couple puzzles at a swap event recently so we’ve got plenty to choose from!
