Back in October I went out and grabbed a trio of puzzles from White Mountain Puzzles, looking to try out a new company. For our next one, we’re returning to that group and taking on “License Plates” by Charlie Girard.
I wasn’t very impressed with our last White Mountain outing, “Jack O Lanterns,” as the artwork seemed sloppy to me. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem with this one but I am a little hesitant going in. It’s a different artist this time, so that should make some significant difference.
I don’t really have a reason for picking this particular design right now. I’ve liked license plates since I was a kid, and the different state designs have always intrigued me, but there’s nothing about the middle of March that particularly makes me think of that. Maybe I should be saving this for summer – a time for road trips – but, frankly, I don’t want to.
Or maybe the timing is appropriate, as we’ll be taking a short vacation (even if it’s not on the road) that will probably interrupt us finishing this. I don’t see anything about the design that should hold us up much but that trip might slow things down.
