Puzzle Break: Bibliophile Banned Books

  • Jenny

A very happy new year to you all!

Our first puzzle of 2024 is a 500 piece beauty that Clark got me for Christmas, Bibliophile Banned Books by Jane Mount made by Chronicle Books. He got it from our local bookstore, 2 Dandelions, whom we love, and are super excited that they are expanding this year!

Box for the Bibliophile Banned Books puzzle

We are an avid reader household, and we have a read a large number of these but not all of them. I currently have 400 books on my TBR on StoryGraph, but if I get in a rut I know I’ll be looking at this list for something I haven’t read yet. Some of the books that are on here really surprised us. I read a Wrinkle in Time to our daughter when she was 6-7 years old, and she is currently in the midst of reading the Front Desk series on her own right now.

Anyway, back to the puzzle. It had relatively nice fit, though we had a small problem along the bottom border where there were three pieces that looked right until we started filling it in. Fortunately, they were all right next to each other and an easy fix right at the end of the puzzle. We also liked how this puzzle was packaged, and the included inserts for the puzzle.

I absolutely love the library card list insert. I want to frame it, it’s that awesome to me! This was a really fun break, and a nice way for us to spend our evening. All told it took us about two and a half hours, including the break we took in the middle to make and eat dinner.

Any books on this list that you read and loved?

Stay Puzzled!

P.S. A puzzle break wasn’t the only reason we wanted to do a smaller puzzle… we have something super exciting to announce soon!
